About
Hal is a half nagual coyote. At first glance he appears to others as a beastman but he is a shapeshifter with very limited capabilities due to his diluted blood.
His personality is bubbly yet withdrawn. He tends to avoid people he doesn't know well. He can come off as silent due to his worry that he'll bother others. Once he opens up he's very loud and friendly.
He has been living with ren for almost a year.
Backstory
After being kicked out by his Mother's house due to his stepfather's attempted sexual assualt of him he decided to go AWOL all the way to Canada. He cannot be considered missing due to his previous conversations and last notes to his family. He drove all the way from Texas to Canada as a self destructive action. There was no plan other than to go missing and have nobody look for him.
His means of shelter was living out of his car or couch surfing. Financially he depended on odd jobs or art to but his essentials. Him and Ren only met due to him stopping at the bar to focus on a commission.
Upon being offered the drinks he drank Lawerence's. He was under the assumption that the most suspicious guy's drink was the least likely to be spiked. What he didn't realize that the least suspicious guy to him had spiked the damn drink. Which obviously leads to Ren taking him home instead.

Hal and Ren are in a strange sort of relationship. Hal enjoys being kept, it allows him to relinquish the control and worry of a regular day to day life. The biggest drawback to this is that he relies on Ren to a unhealthy degree. Due to his trauma he feels unsafe by himself and developed seperation anxiety. He constantly gets jealous of people that Ren talks to online. Honestly if Ren we're to bring home another "Guest" he'd end up acting out in aggressive or self destructive ways. He already acts out towards Ren or considers self harming out of jealousy if he seems too interested in other people.

Coyote is a half nagual coyote. He is only able to shift into a full coyote at his older age. Unfortunately he is only able to during fight or flight. This transformation robs him of his intelligence and he effectively becomes a terrified animal. He is only able to revert to human if he sleeps or is rendered unconscious.
His personality is mischevious but withdrawn. He tends to be silent and standoffish towards people he doesn't see the importance of and enjoys messing with people. If someone piques his interest (such as Fox) he is very likely to interact with them. He has a deep curiousity of the human body as well as microbes.

He was abducted meeting with another man online for the prospect of casual sex. After realizing that he got stood up he left the bar they were meeting at and attempted to walk home. He wasn't aware that he was being followed and his abductor's were waiting for a chance to catch him alone.
Of course this lead him to being auctioned off to a bunch of strangers. With the assumption that if the announcer kept him he'd delay his assault he begged Fox to keep him. He didn't realize that he was walking right into what he was trying to avoid.
After the first stream he realized that he needed to try his hardest to convince the people watching the streams to not kill him. He resigned to being on his best behavior and playing into what the chat wanted, although there were times where fear got to him and he did things he was scared would have his life cut short.
